Mayor of Bridgwater Cllr Leigh Redman opened this years Bridgwater Flower Show at Bridgwater Town Hall and was joined by Westover Councillor Kathy Pearce.

Kathy says “Come along and enjoy the Bridgwater Flower Show, which has been in existence for over 100 years. This year there are around 600 entries which include a range vegetables, flowers, crafts, art, photos, cakes, jams and wine. It’s great that so many people have taken part and, has become the norm, the quality of exhibits is exceedingly high. This is a real community event.”

The show continues into tomorrow, with prize giving in the afternoon. If you would like to own some of the exhibits, items which have been donated will be available to buy at the end of the show, which will raise funds for future flower shows – so everyone wins!

Refreshments are available in the Charter Hall with freshly made rolls with salad plus a range of delicious home made cakes.

We look forward to seeing you there!

The following Gallery of  photographs have been taken by Westover Councillor Pat Morley who is the sort of person who would do that kind of thing.
